Dr. Richard Malcolm Sharp joined the faculty in 1968. He holds a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania in chemistry and mathematics, and a Doctorate from Boston University in math education. Dr. Sharp who is Professor Emeritus at California State University, Northridge, is the author of numerous books and articles on topics related to the use of computers in education, and math. Some of his books include WebDoctor Your Online: Guide to Health Care and Wellness (St Martin's Griffin), The Best Web Sites for Teachers Series, (International Society for Technology), Introduction to the Internet for Education, Wadsworth Publishing, The Sneaky Square & Other Math Activities for Kids 2nd edition, McGraw-Hill, and Magic Squares: A Mathematic Activity Program, five separate books, Levels A through E, Charles E. Merrill.
