Dr. Sabrina Peck joined the faculty in 1990, coming from Los Angeles City College, where she was a professor of English/ ESL. Dr. Peck holds a B.A. in social relations from Harvard University. She earned an M.A. in teaching English as a second language, and a Ph.D. in applied linguistics at UCLA. As a VISTA volunteer, she taught kindergarten in the U.S. Virgin Islands. After graduation she taught bilingual (Spanish-English) first grade as well as ESL in the Boston Public Schools. Her research interests all center around second language acquisition and methods of teaching English language learners.
