This program offered in partnership with local school districts, provides an opportunity for candidates with full-time employment as public elementary school teachers to complete a preliminary credential while on the job. The program, comprised of coursework, field experiences, and seminars, prepares interns with the knowledge and skills to work effectively with diverse urban learners. Courses are offered in the late afternoon and evening.

Irene Cota, Ph.D.
Dr. Irene Cota, as the Multiple Subject Internship Program Grant Director, is responsible for the administration of the state funded Multiple Subject Internship Program Grant. In addition to her other responsibilities, she co-teaches the student teaching seminars with Elaine Adelman. Dr. Cota's office is located in ED 1108.

Elaine Adelman, M.A.
Elaine Adelman, as the Multiple Subject Intern Coordinator,  is responsible for doing student advisement, planning the supervision of interns, and along with her other duties, co-teaching the student teaching seminars with Dr. Irene Cota.   Her office in ED 1211 is open during the early evening hours so that Interns can schedule advisement sessions and have questions answered about their progress in the program.
